Dating Accessories - Things a Boy Should
Never Leave Home Without
If you have ever been on a bad date or in a
situation where something happened and left you stranded you know how important
it is to prepare for the unexpected. There are a few things that a boy should
never leave home without - especially if he is going on a date. Some of these
things will be common sense, and others you may not have considered - though
they will be sure to help improve your dates if you let them.
Keep in mind that these tips aren't really in
an order of importance. Some of them you will deem to be more important than
others, but it will really just depend on your own situation. Some of these
you may not use, but there are a few you will (and should) definitely swear
by on your dates.
Style
Now, granted, this is something that many boys
never leave home without, but it should be mentioned here, anyway, because
of its importance. If you are going on a date you want to look your best.
You should have on nice clothing, fresh undies, clean shoes, and be all showered
up and smelling fresh. Unfortunately, every now and then a guy will go on
a date looking like a homeless orphan. It's pretty important to realize this
isn't going to get you anywhere in most cases, and if it does you may end
up wondering why.

The Essentials
There are certain
things you never leave home without, date or not. These are things you usually
remember though you may overlook if in a hurry. Keys, pens, paper, and a
cell phone top this list. If this is a first date you might want to play
the safe route and drive yourself - that way if it's a bad date you can bail.
If you allow your date to drive and things go bad you'll be stuck there unless
you decide to run out of the building for safety, which may not be a nice
thing to do. Keys and cell phone are obvious, I am sure. If you're wondering
about pen and paper it's because if you do like him, or find someone else
along the way, you'll have a way to keep in contact by writing down their
number, email, or whatever they are willing to give you.
The Hygienic Essentials
These things you
definitely want to remember just for your own safety and for better chances
at having a successful date. Breath mints, or breath spray, is one of the
most important things you'll bring. This quick fresh-up will give you a little
confidence as you move in for a kiss, or just help to let you know you're
smelling fine in that area. Cologne isn't something you necessarily need
to leave home with, though it's something you should spray on before you
leave. A word of caution though, too much is worse than none. If you can
smell yourself really well you over-cologned - and everyone else can smell
you more than that. A good trick is to spray a couple sprays of cologne and
walk through the mist - this will give you the scent but it won't be
overpowering.
The Sex-essentials
Now you knew
this one would be on here. It wouldn't be right to mention things you should
never leave home without if sex-related items weren't on the list. It's important
to always be prepared and in this day and age it means that you need
condoms, lube, and similarly related items. Depending on which date you're
on you may want to hold off on the intense sex play and make your new friend
wait for later, but it's always best to be ready. Anticipation is everything.
However, preparation is the most important step to safety.
Money
No matter who is
paying for the date, you should always bring a little extra for
emergencies. This one cannot be stressed enough! Even bring change for a
pay phone just in case your cell phone fails. Bring a little extra for a
cab if you didn't drive. Also, it's good to bring enough to cover your own
expenses - that way if something goes wrong you can always pay your share
and get out.
Dating Charm
If you are going
out on a date that you want to turn into a second, or third, date then one
of the most important things you can bring is your personality. No one wants
to date a dud. Make sure you have some interesting stories and jokes to tell.
Keep him amused and the topics light, especially in the beginning when you
are giving him a chance to know you. If you go in with nothing to say, and
no information to offer, you aren't going to be able to progress and you
might even end up ruining a date with a great guy.
