Keeping
in Shape to Look Great for Your Date
In the gay community you have two choices: you
can be a guy who is picked up by the chubby chasers out there, or you can
work to keep that waistline thin like all the other self respecting homosexuals
in town. Now, if you are overweight and want to be that way that's fine -
however, if you want to lose some weight you should definitely look into
slimming yourself down, as it will give you the added confidence you need
to succeed when you are dating.
You may be thinking that it's not easy to diet
and you're right. Diets aren't any fun, but if you want to be the sexiest
man in the bunch you're going to have to sacrifice something. Willpower is
going to be necessary but the good thing about dieting is it's only hard
for so long and then it becomes second nature. The following tips will help
you to get things started and see that you end up looking great on your dates.
The right mindset
Despite what you may think the most important
part of any diet is your own frame of mind. If you are starting a diet with
plans to fail, then you will fail. If you are starting a diet when you do
not need to but you have a negative self-image then you could risk causing
your body physical harm. The goal to a good diet is a good self-image and
a positive outlook about your choices. When you are comfortable with yourself,
and you are dedicated to changing your life for the better, you will be satisfied
choosing the meals needed to help you lose the weight you desire to drop
off.
Take a history lesson
If you look in history books you usually are
more apt to find the healthy looking person than the chubby person. There
are excellent foods and dishes that have traveled throughout a person's family.
You should find out what your family foods are and build your diet around
them. You may not believe it, but you do not have to eat a tremendous amount
less. It's more about what you eat and how you eat it, then how much you
are eating. Once upon a time people did not eat processed foods - they ate
fruits, vegetables, and fresh meats. This allowed them to eat well because
they were eating healthy. We could learn a lot from our ancestors in diets,
and in many other areas.

Water
If you don't like water the best thing you can
do is learn to like it. Not only is water going to purify your body but it's
also going to help you lose weight. The more water you drink the fuller you
will feel and the less you will want to eat. Of course, the more you drink
the more you will need to relieve yourself which will allow you to remove
excess water, as well, and with it will come the extra pounds you are trying
to rid yourself of.
Rearrange your meals
One complaint of many dieters is that they
constantly feel hungry. If you are one of these people the best thing you
can do is to eat smaller meals. Instead of eating 2-3 large meals eat 6 small
ones. The fact that you are eating a half a sandwich and then in an hour,
or two, later you are able to eat the other half is going to make you feel
more full then if you are feeling unsatisfied at lunch and are forced to
wait to eat again until dinner.
Exercise
If you're one of the guys that just cringe at
the thought of being forced to do such dreaded hard labor - think positive!
One, you can eat more if you are exercising because you are working off the
added calories. Although you should not eat excessively - otherwise you aren't
helping yourself. Another great thing to think of is the fact that you'll
be at the gym when you work out.
There will be plenty of hot, sweaty, possibly
gay men that will be around to spot you. Think of all the men you'll meet,
the numbers you'll get, and the weight you'll lose - and it will all be
worthwhile.
