"Must Have" Fashion List for the Gay Man
Now that winter is here the new fashion shows
have begun, and the new picks for fashion must-haves have been labeled. There
are certain things every man is going to need in his closet this season.
From Tweed blazers, to the Old World looks offered by Perry Ellis, this article
is all about what you need to look good in both the board room, and at the
club.
Seasonal Colors Brought to You by a Perry
Ellis Suit
This outfit is going to be sure to please in
nearly any situation you can conjure up. It is completely Perry Ellis. It
starts with a fabulous charcoal wool one-button window pane suit jacket.
Under the jacket is a white cotton jacquard shirt with an olive suede vest
over top. You can complete this outfit with your best pair of slacks, an
olive python belt, and some nice leather dress shoes and you'll be ready
to go for whatever may come up.
Wear White this Winter
Another fabulous design by Perry Ellis this
year is the white-on-white outfit. Of course, if you are prone to accidents
you might want to watch where you wear this outfit! If you are certain you
will spend the night without spilling then you should definitely add this
outfit to your collection. It begins with a multi-cable roll collared sweater
in Ivory cashmere and is finished off with some swan colored cotton Lycra
sateen trousers. Not only will you look fabulously innocent in white, but
you'll also make a great impression with the boys you see while you're wearing
it.

Perry Ellis Pinstripes
The final choice this season by the makers of
Perry Ellis is going to be one of the hottest picks for the winter months.
Pinstripes are back and looking better than ever. If you want to impress
a date - or even your boss - this is going to be the suit that will turn
heads! The outfit consists of a midnight wool, pinstriped, one-button suit
and pant combo. It incorporates a midnight merino ribbed turtleneck and a
similarly colored jacquard paisley shirt. Finish it off with some sexy, Italian
leather shoes, and a black snake-skin belt, and you'll be the toast of the
town for sure!

Designer, John Varvatos (one of the hot picks
for looking good this season), suggests that when you pick out his clothing
you go for a more individual approach. Dressing should be a personal thing
so consider your setting - be it casual, business, or clubbing - and go with

individual decision will show your true style - while allowing you to incorporate
all the definite fashion must-haves this season.
Style and Function the DKNY Way
The entire line of DKNY active wear is worth
a look at if you are considering possibilities for your closet. One of the
best things about these items, other than their mix-and-match ability, is
the fact that they all have that crisp, tailored look to them. Donna Karan
is a big supporter of Old World style, which is evident in her designs. Each
item is fresh and unique, incorporating a perfect blend of Old World style
with new and inventive flair.
Longer than average Blazers
Most of the top designers offered at least one
thing in common this year when profiling the blazer/sport coats of their
line: they are longer than the previous blazers of past seasons. These new
blazers come in a variety of colors and fabrics - based on your needs and
preferences - but they are just slightly longer, resting between your bottom
and your knees rather than shorter alternatives. These jackets are fabulous
for stylish cooler evenings where you want to wear layers. Of course, if
things get too hot you can always take it off!
Outfits that Show Some Skin
If you are following the trends - according
to Dolce and Gabbana - then you just might just be showing some skin this
year. One of the most popular looks to cross their label has been the essence
of male flesh. In fact, one of their more popular outfits includes some chocolate
brown, luscious leather pants and a longer blazer in a matching color. The
blazer is closed by a D&G belt, but there is no shirt covering
your chest. You have two options, you can choose a white scarf made to cover
you up, add a stylish element, and only show a little bit of your skin, or
you can go with it all hanging out. No matter what you choose, this outfit
is both sexy and definitely stylish.
Striped Shirts
You can choose one of the many new offerings
by the most famous names in fashion, or you can go out on a limb and choose
something at a discount store. You may even have some amazing striped shirts
in your closet you haven't touched in years. If that's the case you need
to dust them off because they are back in again this year. This is one of
those items that near everyone will be able to afford, and the variety will
make sure you might have something in common - and still be able to look
different at the same time.
Simplicity is In
Prada has always been known for taking something
inexpensive (by industry standards) and dusting it off to add to their line.
This year is no different! ... where a number of looks were shown that could
be purchased, or even made from your clothes at home. Patterned print shorts
and form-fitting tops were two of the common themes of the runway this season.
In either case, it's likely that you have a few already so all you need to
do is mix them with a great pair of slacks, jeans, or leather pants and you're
ready for a night on the town. A word of advice, though, pay close attention
to the pants you wear with the shirt. You don't want to mismatch your look,
because - no matter if both things are in style - if they don't go together
then you're going to stand out in a way you don't want to.
Jeans
I know you might be thinking that you own plenty
of pairs however many higher end labels were promoting their jeans for the
upcoming season. The wonderful thing about jeans is that they come in a variety
of colors and styles - so, even if you wear them frequently you don't have
the same look repeatedly, which can give you a drab appearance. Choose a
few of your favorite new options, and keep some of those older ones to add
another type of flair to your wardrobe for a great season.
Add some of these fashion picks to your wardrobe,
and watch as the men flock to you. Some will adore you, and others will want
to know where you bought your clothes - but, either way, you 're going to
be the center of attention!
